The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is a charitable institution which has been registered with the Registrar of Associations since 2003.
Its aim is to represent the interests of persons affected by muscular dystrophy, irrespective of ethnic, religious, political or economic considerations. Muscular dystrophy is an incurable disease. The organisation’s major objective is to enhance the quality of life of muscular dystrophy sufferers, by promoting that each patient be given optimal access to medical, educational and social care and other appropriate services, so that they can live in dignity.
